Service Description

Slay ("SlayDM", "we", "us") is an AI-powered shopping assistant available as an iOS app and through Instagram Direct Messages. Our AI identifies products in Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content and provides links to purchase those products from various retailers.

How It Works

iOS App: Share an Instagram Reel, TikTok video, or YouTube video to the Slay app. Our AI analyzes the content, identifies visible products, and shows you shopping links. You can also use virtual try-on to see how clothing items look on you.

Instagram DM: Send a link via Direct Message to @slaydm. Our AI processes the content and sends you a link to a results page with shopping links.

Account and Eligibility

To use the iOS app, you must create an account using Apple or Google sign-in. You must be at least 13 years old to use Slay. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

Subscriptions

Free tier: New users receive 3 free scans and 3 free virtual try-ons to experience the service. Additional try-ons can be earned through referrals.

Slay Pro: Paid subscribers get unlimited scans, up to 30 virtual try-ons per month, and access to all features. Subscriptions are available as monthly or annual plans.

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may only be available once per Apple ID

Virtual Try-On

The virtual try-on feature uses AI to generate images of you wearing identified products. By using this feature, you:

• Consent to your selfie photo being processed by a third-party AI service (Google Gemini)
• Consent to your selfie photo and generated try-on images being stored on our servers linked to your account for cross-device access
• Understand that generated images are AI approximations and may not accurately represent how products look in person
• Agree not to use generated images for misleading, harmful, or illegal purposes
• Retain ownership of your selfie photos; AI-generated try-on images are licensed to you for personal use

You can delete individual try-on images at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Social Features

Slay includes social features that allow you to connect with friends and share try-on looks. By using these features, you:

• Consent to your hashed contact emails being sent to our server for friend discovery (opt-in only)
• Understand that try-on looks you share are visible to the people you share them with
• Understand that friends can try on the same outfit you shared
• Agree not to use social features to harass, spam, or share inappropriate content

You can remove friends, un-share looks, or delete your account at any time.

Cloud Storage

Your scan history, saved products, and try-on images are stored on our servers linked to your account to enable access across devices. You can delete individual items within the app, or request complete data deletion by contacting us. All data is permanently deleted when you delete your account.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

Product identification is performed by AI and may not always be accurate. We do not guarantee that:

• Identified products are the exact items shown in the content
• Prices, availability, or product details are current
• Links will lead to the exact product featured
• Virtual try-on images accurately represent products

Always verify product details before making a purchase.

Affiliate Links

Shopping links on our results pages may be affiliate links. This means we earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

User Conduct

By using Slay, you agree to:

• Only share content you have the right to share
• Not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Not upload inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content
• Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or usage quotas
• Not create multiple accounts to obtain additional free usage

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

The content you share with Slay (links to public social media posts) remains the property of its original creators. We do not claim ownership of any content you share or any products identified. The Slay name, logo, and service are our intellectual property.

Limitation of Liability

Slay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not responsible for:

• Any purchases you make through links on our results pages — all transactions are between you and the respective retailer
• The accuracy of AI-generated product identifications or try-on images
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues
• Actions of third-party services (retailers, payment processors, social media platforms)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Termination

You may stop using Slay and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Active subscriptions should be canceled through your Apple ID settings.
